OrbitPay

OrbitPay sells four premium datasets. There are no accounts, keys or subscriptions. The paying wallet is the account.

Dataset MCP tool Web route
Cross chain transfer history orbitpay_crosschain_history https://orbitwan.io/idx/crosschain/history
Economics series orbitpay_economics_series https://orbitwan.io/idx/economics/series
Token supplies orbitpay_token_supplies https://orbitwan.io/idx/tokens/supplies
Tags export orbitpay_tags_export https://orbitwan.io/idx/tags/export

Call one without paying and the answer, an HTTP 402, says how to pay. Over MCP, the free tool orbitpay_info says the same.

Two ways to pay

Way How it works
Prepaid credit Deposit wanUSDT or wanUSDC, USDT and USDC bridged to Wanchain. Credit never expires
x402 Pay per request in USDC on Base, Coinbase’s Ethereum layer 2 chain, with a standard x402 client such as x402-fetch or @x402/fetch. No deposit

With prepaid credit, your wallet signs each call: sign orbitwan-api <unix_seconds> as a personal message (EIP-191) and send the headers X-Payer, X-Timestamp and X-Signature.

Notes for developers

  • Over MCP, every payment answer arrives as a normal tool result. Read the JSON inside it, not the HTTP status.
  • Amounts come in three forms: plain strings ("1"), base units with 6 decimals (1000000) and XFlows amounts ("1"). Convert with care.
  • Wanchain nodes hash transactions differently from what ethers v6 expects. Send the raw transaction with eth_sendRawTransaction and keep the hash the node returns.
  • Credit is counted in wanUSDT and spent at the price in force when you use it.
