| Approve | A first transaction that lets a contract take a set amount of one token from your wallet |
| APR | A yearly interest rate, without compounding |
| Base | Coinbase’s Ethereum layer 2 chain |
| Bridge Node | A node that stakes WAN and signs WanBridge transfers. Also called a Storeman node |
| Bridge Node group | The Bridge Nodes that sign transfers together for a set period |
| Bridge to Earn | Wanchain’s program of paid bridge tasks |
| CCTP | Circle’s own way to move USDC between chains |
| Collateral | What a borrower deposits to secure an xLend loan |
| Convert n’ Burn | Wanchain’s system that converts bridge fees to WAN and burns part of it |
| Dash | A value OrbitWan could not verify. Never zero |
| Delegate | Stake WAN with a validator or Bridge Node you do not run, for a share of its rewards |
| Epoch | One Wanchain staking period, about a day |
| EVM chain | A chain that runs Ethereum’s virtual machine, as Wanchain does |
| Farm | Where liquidity providers stake their positions for extra rewards, such as XFlows farms paying xWAN |
| Grace period | The 3 days after an xLend term ends, when a loan can still be repaid |
| Leg | One side of a bridge transfer: the source leg or the destination leg |
| MCP | Model Context Protocol, the standard AI apps use to call outside tools |
| Pledge | WAN put up to take part in governance, or WAN or XP spent to claim a Bridge to Earn task |
| PoS validator | A node that secures the Wanchain chain |
| Sourcify | A public service that verifies contract source code |
| Treasury | OrbitWan’s address that receives xLend fees and the xWAN sold on xWAN Express |
| Vault | Your own deposit address for OrbitPay: what reaches it becomes your credit |
| Vesting | Turning xWAN back into WAN on XStake over 0 to 90 days |
| WAN | Wanchain’s native coin |
| wan tokens | Tokens bridged to Wanchain, such as wanUSDT and wanUSDC |
| WanBridge | Wanchain’s cross chain bridge |
| WanLend | A lending dapp on Wanchain |
| WanSwap | A token swap on Wanchain |
| x402 | An open standard for paying per request over HTTP |
| XFlows | WanBridge’s native asset bridge and swap |
| XP | Wanchain’s reputation points, earned by using WanBridge and XFlows. They cannot be traded |
| XPort | Wanchain’s message bridge |
| XStake | Wanchain’s staking dapp, where WAN and xWAN also convert |
| xWAN | Wanchain’s escrowed form of WAN, which turns back into WAN by vesting |
Every transaction on Wanchain, in xLend and xWAN Express too, pays a small fee in WAN.
